Google’s Pixel series is one of the biggest competitors against Apple’s iPhone in India and the brand is back with a new model – Google Pixel 6a.
The Google Pixel 6a is now available for pre-ordering in India, as the latest reports suggest. This has been a breakthrough after the 2-year long wait. The two other variants of the recent launch – Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro won’t be available in India.
According to official reports, the Pixel 6a will be available at a starting price of INR 43,999, directly competing against the OnePlus 10R and Oppo Reno8 Pro, which are in a similar price range.
What can You Expect from Specification Wise?
Even the basic specifications of the Google Pixel 6a look quite promising, so looks like the two-year wait was indeed worth it.
Coming to the standard specs, the Pixel 6a will feature a 6.1” FHD+ OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, which is a little disappointing. The refresh rate could have been better.
As for the performance, the Pixel 6a is powered by the Tensor GS101 chipset and comes with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM as the base configuration.
Even with the camera settings, the model is coming with a dual-rear camera setting with a 12MP wide and 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The front-facing selfie camera is 8MP.
Also, the battery in the smartphone is a 4306 mAh battery that offers a prolonged and long-lasting battery, depending on the user’s usage. It does come with fast charging of 18W. And, without a doubt, the model comes with Android 12 out of the box.
What are the Software features?
If you are concerned about the software features, there are quite a few worth looking into. The Live Translate feature will come with chat options in 11 languages, which is a promising addition.
The feature will be operational for both Messages and Media, which is a benefit as well. The dedicated Titan M2 chipset is designed to provide users with an optimized user experience and performance like no other.
The data will be protected at the hardware level, which is another promising feature that users will get with the Google Pixel 6a.
Google claims that the battery will last 24 hours, which could be a bit of a stretch. However, the extreme battery saver mode in the model will yield up to 72 hours of battery life with a single charge.
The Android 12 with Material You design is further expected to streamline the user experience furthermore. The customization options on the wallpaper and lock screen look quite promising too.
