Demicron releases WireFusion 3.1 and updated add-ons
Demicron releases a new version of WireFusion with
extended support for Java, improved performance and
improved web3D quality
January 13, 2003 - Today the Swedish software developer
Demicron announced WireFusionTM 3.1, a new version of
its acclaimed Web graphics tool.
Demicron, a leading developer of easy-to-use, high-quality
Java software solutions, is now shipping WireFusion
3.1, the newest version of the company's Web graphics
tool. Also released are updated WireFusion add-ons,
WF-3D, WF-SlideShow, WF-Video and WF-MP3. WireFusion
is a drag-and-drop visual-programming tool developed
for creating advanced and interactive product presentations
for the Web in small and platform independent Java applets.
WireFusion 3.1 has extended support for Java and it
is now possible to include native Java AWT components
into WireFusion presentations. A new and more intelligent
graphics engine ensures better overall performance,
especially when creating large presentations.
The updated WF-3D add-on (version 1.1), the web3D solution
for WireFusion, has improved quality using real-time
edge anti-aliasing. 3D presentations also have improved
performance, utilizing the new graphics engine in WireFusion.
New camera rotation modes make it easier for users to
navigate 3D models on the web and gives an improved
user experience. Additionally, Demicron is lowering
the price for the WF-3D add-on to $299 US.
An updated version of WF-SlideShow (version 1.1) is
also released, which is a slide show add-on for WireFusion.
The new version can now replace static slides with interactive
and animated WireFusion presentations.
- "Since we released WireFusion 3 and the add-on
concept, in August last year, we have really noticed
a difference in our sales," says Stefano de Carolis,
Demicron's CEO. "More and more professional users
are converting from our competitors' tools to WireFusion
and our web3D solution, while private individuals seem
to prefer our slide show software".
Homepage visitors can view presentations created with
WireFusion in all cross-platform Java 1.1 enabled browsers.
This means that no extra downloads or frequent updates
are needed for viewing WireFusion 2D/3D/Video presentations
on the Internet. The small presentations made with WireFusion
have also been verified to work on handheld computers
such as HP iPAQ running the Jeode JVM from Insignia.
